Hamish Greig’s career in broadcasting began in his native Edinburgh with BBC Scotland in 1973. He then went to GBC in Gibraltar between 1975 – 1982, engineering on their TV and radio stations. Traveling to South Africa in 1982 when joining SABC, Greig traversed the length and breadth of the country covering all major sports and light entertainment productions.

Greig relocated to London and CTV in 1986 and was promoted to CTV’s director of engineering in 1996. His responsibilities included strategic engineering and budgeting decisions, as well as working closely with the client and sales department in leading the technical team to deliver client and CTV objectives.

Greig is deeply involved in the smooth running of CTV’s golf and cricket contracts and is directly responsible for delivering state of the art outside broadcast vehicles. Onsite, he lead the talented technical teams to deliver complex and challenging productions under pressure. These included host and unilateral coverage of The Open, Summer and Winter Olympics for NBC and OBS, multi-venue host coverage of FIFA World Cups, and host and unilateral Ryder Cup coverage to name but a few.

In January of 2018, Greig was promoted to CEO, where he was instrumental in the renewal of all CTV’s major contracts. He is honored to lead CTV in these exciting times.
